I have considered it - back around ‘99 I played with RedHat and Mandrake but couldn’t do much on it - perhaps too early. I’m unfamiliar with all the different flavors of Linux now - what’s better about Ubuntu versus Fedora…or Mandrake, if that even exists anymore. Do Linux variants have support for tablet pc’s?

I also thought it would be a good intermediate step to switching to a mac, too - love the design bits of theirs.

Ever considered moving to Linux? About 90% of the software you mention is available on it and the others have decent equivalents. I would recommend you to try Ubuntu.

Craig, thanks for the heads up. I updated it now and the changes should show up shortly.

Also, next version I hope will support non-MySQL dbs such as MSSQL, PGSQL, etc. with the use of MDB2 PEAR package. Hopefully I’ll be able to get that out this evening….

Great plugin, thanks for sharing.

There’s a little problem with the ordering of extra fields if some of them don’t exist in the external database.

An easy fix is to add the WP keys when you assign $sqlfields, use mysql_fetch_assoc then use something like $userarray['first_name'] = $extfields[$sqlfields['first_name']]; to perform the mapping.

Damn that’s cool - but it looks pretty clunky on top of the camera…what do you think the price may be? As the other one does create…sidecar XMP? files for your RAW images too, albeit not as precisely as something physically connected to the camera and thus knowledgeable of when precisely you took a picture…

I agree wholeheartedly. I also fear that we will get so close to the promise of change, and then we’ll be let down in some way or by some group that is so afraid of change that they will do whatever it takes to maintain the status quo.

But, that said, I still hold on for change.
