hanging out at the airport
UB time was nice - got to see other M18s as well as stay with Suzie, who’s leaving very soon. On the other hand, omg so many things to buy and run around in general! I still didn’t quite finish - there is no gouda to be found currently, and James’ speakers are going to be procured by Suzie, but man, good Indian and Chinese food plus home cooking….
I found the vet in UB and purchased vaccines and a pet passport for Francine. Literally I will be administering shots…they gave me an extra needle and told me to practice with an orange so I will know how it feels. The things I’m picking up out here… They also board, so when I bring her in to get spayed she may stay with them a bit. Spaying costs 65000-85000 though…ugh.
Also - my flight to LAX is officially bought and confirmed…woo! Payment didn’t quite work out as expected, but with a quick slight increase of my amex credit limit it *should* go through. They use the old school credit things here - not the swipe-and-dial kind - which saves me.
I also sadly contemplate the fact that I actually went out of my way to buy and bring back cheese hyam - the big brother of those hotdogs with chunks of cheese in them. I am shamed!
So I am writing this from the eznis airport office. Unbeknownst to me the 8am flight became a 2pm or so flight, and I can’t afford to take a cab back in. Plus I do have some rather stiff overage fees due to the amount of stuff I’m bringing back. Believe I’ll break out the US money I have floating around in my wallet and see if they’ll take 1’s, 10’s, and 5’s.
I was sorta napping in the checkin lounge area and I guess the flight people felt bad and asked if I would like to sit in the VIP lounge here or their office and use the internet. So here I am, on luxuriously fast internet, hanging out. My phone’s dead, but I managed to let my boss in Khovd know, as well as Suzie. I’ll prolly run out in a bit so as to not overstay my welcome…plus I can always go play Tropico.
